Junior Varsity Programs

Advancing Christian Athletes

John Melvin University offers both 4-year (Varsity) and 2-year (Junior Varsity) collegiate sports programs that use athletic competition as an integral component of education, faith, and encouragement. We currently offer 2 Junior Varsity sports programs with intention of adding more programs in the future.  Our JV programs are more than developmental teams. We fill a competitive JUCO schedule and compete for an IJCAA National Championship.

JM University Junior Varsity programs are part of the Independent Junior College Athletic Conference.  Following our first year, our goal is to apply to NAIA.

The Independent Junior College Athletic Association (IJCAA) is a collegiate athletic association made up of Junior Colleges, Junior Varsity Programs, and Community Colleges that are not affiliated with any other athletic associations.

The primary purpose of the IJCAA is to promote and develop junior college athletics by providing an opportunity for post-secondary educational institutions to participate in sports at the varsity level.

The IJCAA sponsors national championships in men's and women's athletics. The IJCAA is a great option for student-athletes who want to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. The association provides a great competitive environment and offers opportunities for student-athletes to compete at the national level.
